Terms of Service

These terms are a binding agreement between you and Synapse Labs Pty Ltd (ABN to be published at launch — "we", "us"), operator of the ScoutFootyAI service at scoutfootyai.com.au. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

ScoutFootyAI is an AI-powered analysis tool for AFL SuperCoach players. You paste your current team; we return a trade plan, captain pick, and bye-round strategy using public AFL statistics and a large language model.

ScoutFootyAI is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to News Corporation, the AFL, or the SuperCoach brand. "SuperCoach" is referenced descriptively only as the game for which our analysis is designed.

2. What you pay

• $49 AUD one-time payment, processed by Stripe, grants access for the remainder of the 2026 AFL season.
• A new purchase is required for the 2027 season.
• There are no recurring charges, no auto-renewal, no hidden fees.
• Pricing may occasionally be tested at different price points (for example $39); the price you see at checkout is the price you pay, and it's locked in for the full season of access.

3. Refunds

7-day no-questions refund. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, email support@scoutfootyai.com.au within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund the full amount via Stripe. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion.

4. What the AI does — and doesn't — do

The AI output is for entertainment and informational purposes only. It is not professional advice of any kind — financial, gambling, sports wagering, or otherwise.

• We make no guarantee that following our recommendations will improve your SuperCoach rank.
• Player statistics are sourced from public pages; we do not guarantee their accuracy at any point in time.
• AI models can and do make mistakes, including hallucinating players, numbers, or scenarios. We mitigate this through post-processing and monitoring, but we cannot eliminate it.
• You are responsible for the trades you make with your SuperCoach team.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to bypass the paywall, rate limits, or authentication
• Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute our generated plans
• Submit false or misleading information (including pretending to be someone else at checkout)
• Scrape or overload our API

We may terminate access without refund if you violate these rules.

6. Intellectual property

• The ScoutFootyAI software, models, and codebase are the intellectual property of Synapse Labs Pty Ltd.
• AI-generated plans are yours to use for personal SuperCoach purposes. You may not publish, resell, or republish them without permission.
• Raw AFL statistics are public facts (not copyrightable in Australia under IceTV v Nine [2009] HCA 14) and belong to no one.

7. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law:

• The service is provided "as is", without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including any loss arising from SuperCoach rank changes, trade outcomes, or missed byes.
• Our total aggregate liability to you, for any claim, is limited to the amount you paid us.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be emailed to paying users. The "last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the current version.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Victoria unless both parties agree to arbitration.
