Frequently asked questions
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, email support@scoutfootyai.com.au.
Is this affiliated with SuperCoach?
Not at all. ScoutFootyAI is Australia's first AI trade planner built specifically for SuperCoach players — an independent tool from Synapse Labs, not affiliated with News Corp, the AFL, or the SuperCoach brand. We use the word "SuperCoach" descriptively because that's the game you play; the scoring model, trade logic, captain picker, and bye planner are all our own system. You won't find another tool doing what we do.
What's included in the plan?
One payment. Valid for the rest of the 2026 AFL season. No subscription, no auto-renew, no upsell.
Each round, as many times as you like, you get:
- Ranked trade-out priorities (who to move first, with reasons)
- Best trade-in targets matched to your budget
- Captain pick with a confidence score and a backup
- Bye-round survival plan for rounds 12–14
- Team health summary — strengths, weaknesses, weeks of runway
Re-run a fresh plan every round as new data comes in. One payment, whole season.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — 7-day refund if the plan didn't surface an actionable insight for your team. Email support@scoutfootyai.com.au within 7 days of purchase with your Stripe receipt and a quick line on what you were hoping for that the plan missed — we'll process it and use the feedback to improve the model. Bad fits get refunded; we don't want you stuck with a tool that didn't help.
What happens when the 2026 season ends?
Access ends at the 2026 AFL Grand Final. The 2027 season requires a new purchase — new data, retrained model, new fixtures, new bye schedule. We'd rather charge again for a genuinely updated tool than silently carry you on stale stats.
Is this AI any good?
Honestly — it's purpose-built for SuperCoach, not a general-purpose chatbot with a football hat on. Our scoring model weighs season form against recent form, reads breakevens, tracks price trajectories, and reasons over your whole squad at once. It is not a guarantee of rank improvement. What it is: a reasoned, stat-cited starting point that saves you the 2 hours of spreadsheet work every round. Treat it like a second opinion you can audit in 30 seconds — every recommendation shows the numbers behind it.
Why should I trust AI for my SuperCoach team?
Same reason you trust The Traders podcast: an external perspective on your team, using data you don't have time to aggregate yourself. The difference is our plan always cites specific numbers — season average, breakeven, recent form, form trend — so you can verify the logic instead of taking it on faith. If the data doesn't back the call, the call isn't in your plan.
How is this different from DT Talk / The Traders / SC Playbook?
We love those shows. They're broad — generic trade targets and captain calls for the typical punter's team. That's useful, but it's not your team.
ScoutFootyAI is:
- Personalised — the plan is built around your exact 30 players, remaining trades, and budget.
- Consistent — the AI evaluates all 31 of your players against the full league pool at once, not just the five most talked-about premiums.
- Fast — 10 seconds versus a 90-minute podcast you skim on Thursday night hoping they mention your defender.
Use both. They're complementary.
What if the AI recommends a trade I disagree with?
Ignore it. Every recommendation shows its reasoning and the stats behind it — if you have context the data doesn't (a training-track injury rumour, a team-leak from a mate at the club, a gut call on a young gun about to get tagged), trust yourself. The plan is a starting point for your decision, not a replacement for it.
What does "form trend" mean on my plan?
Form trend is the difference between a player's last-3-round average and their season average. A positive number (e.g. +2.3) means the player is scoring above their season baseline recently — trending up. Negative means they're trending down. It's one of five signals the AI weighs when ranking trades, alongside season average, breakeven, price, and upcoming fixtures.
Does the plan update when players get injured on Thursday night?
Not yet. Plans refresh weekly after each round closes, so a late-out announced on Thursday evening won't be reflected in your Round-N plan — that's on you to sanity-check the team-sheet before lockout. A live injury / late-out feed is on our roadmap for 2027. For now: use the plan as your base case, and always glance at the AFL team sheets on lockout day before submitting trades.
Do you use my team data to train your AI?
Free previews are never logged. For paid plans, we keep the minimum needed to regenerate your plan across the season — we don't publish, share, or resell it. We may use anonymised plan examples to improve the model over time; we never use your email, payment details, or any identifying team info in training data. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
How do you handle my email?
Stripe captures your email during checkout so you have a receipt. We send exactly one email per purchase — a permalink to your plan. No spam. We may occasionally offer opt-in emails (a weekly round digest, off-season updates) but everything is opt-in only and a single unsubscribe click out.
Still got questions?
The quickest way to find out if it's worth $49 is to paste your team and see the free preview.
